Education Day at LYSFF is presented in partnership with the Organization of Independent  Filmmakers (OIF).  OIF will conduct an educational workshop panel on Thursday, February 9th at the Wayne Densch Theater in Sanford.

Enjoy a FREE screening of several short films produced by local filmmakers.  After the screening some of the filmmakers will be on stage to present how they got their start.  There will be a Q&A session after the presentations, where audience members pose questions to the panelists.

Learn how to break into the film industry as you hear stories from a panel of budding local filmmakers about how they got started in the industry, what drove them and where they are headed next.

    WRITE ON!

Writers and actors welcome to participate!

    How It Works:
    • Upload up to 10 pages from your script.  (A temporary place online for sharing with the readers on their devices will be provided.)
    • A narrator  reads the action while other readers bring the characters to life.
    • A short exchange with feedback to the writer is held after each script reading.
Actors:  This is a great way to practice your diction and "table reads".
Writers:  This is a great way to animate your script and make those final adjustments after "seeing" it come to life!

Anyone is welcome to join in.
